Visual Narratives & Explainer Videos

As a final project, students were tasked with creating a visual narrative using either a poem or song of their choice. As an assignment, this project gave students the opportunity to build their own production pipelines and workflows - demonstrating the importance of pre-production stages for long-form content like explainers.

Goals:

• Explore how to animate to a script or audio piece and morph between lines with different subject matter

• Conveying a script through visual storytelling 

• Using abstract concepts to visualize more concrete words or ideas
